Welcome to Casa Calhoun! A Monterrey inspired two-story casa nestled between
Fort Sam Houston and I-35 in the historic Government Hill neighborhood. 1.5
miles to the Pearl Brewery shops and restaurants, 1.5 miles to the San Antonio
Riverwalk, 2 miles to Downtown San Antonio/The Alamo, 6 minutes to the Henry
B. Gonzalez Convention Center, 14 minutes to the San Antonio International
Airport, 7 minutes to Brackenridge Park, 8 minutes to the Blue Star Arts Complex,
20 minutes to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, 20 minutes to the Shops and La Cantera.


This is the perfect home base for you to make new memories while seeing the best
that San Antonio has to offer. With quality indoor furnishings, seamless Mesh Wi-Fi, a gigantic balcony on the second story, an outdoor wood fireplace,and full Texas-Trio propane grill/charcoal barbecue smoker, the house is fully
equipped for your group to enjoy everything from an evening of grilling burgers
and making marshmallows by the fire, to cuddling up inside to watch a movie on
the 55” Smart TV. The house has 5 bedrooms: two bedrooms each with private
bathrooms and queen-sized beds, two additional bedrooms with queen-sized beds,
one bedroom with four bunk beds, and a pull-out sofa in the living room with a
queen-sized foam mattress for additional guests. The beds are outfitted with 100%
cotton high-quality sheets and brand-new Tuft & Needle mattresses (even on the
bunk beds), and the house has a zoned heating and cooling system, allowing you to
adjust the air conditioning or heating on each floor of the house to your comfort. A
Keurig Coffee station, electric tea kettle, and fully equipped kitchen is yours to
enjoy, complete with full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, filtered water, and gas
stove/oven. There is basic workout equipment and a full washer and dryer in the
covered carport, as well as a bonus detached restroom next to the outdoor fireplace
for ease of access while outside.


The neighborhood has been quickly growing since we purchased the property as
our personal residence in 2017, with a few shops and bars within a 5-minute walk
from your front door: Folkores Coffee House serves up amazing specialty coffees
and basic morning brews, Alebrije Bakery has newly opened and is often seen with
a line out the door to buy their fresh breads, pastries, and cookies, Betty’s Battalion
is a funky little bar with cheap beer and live music, and Breakaway Brewing
Company, a bicycle-themed brewery will be opening their doors in early 2023! All
of these establishments are 3 blocks away from your front door. There is also a
bike lane that continues all the way down Grayson Street to let you safely ride to
the Pearl Brewery and shops in 7 minutes. Daily or weekly bike rentals are
available at the Pearl Brewery area from Bike World.
